Nonsense: Press Release Action

I get motoring press releases sent to my inbox all day for some reason. I would say the breakdown is a quarter-split between Real News, Pretend News, Employment of New PR Guy News, Not News At All But Let’s Squeeze a Car In There.

Sometimes the “Not News” ones are astounding, so here’s an example of this. You might see it in your local paper too, as it’s basically shovel-news for lazy hacks who’ve had a boozy lunch and just want to Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V and then spend the rest of the day sending awkward Emails to female colleagues.

Other People’s Projects: Mitsubishi 360 Van

This has been around the Internet for some time, but it’s such a superb project it needs to continue doing the rounds. Basically, a guy in Japan called David was cruising around when he saw a load of old cars in the weeds (actual weeds, not “scene” ones). Amongst them was a first-generation Mitsubishi 360 Van in a pretty bad state.

Foreign Advert Comparison: Nissan Sunny

As I stumble through Youtube looking for videos of hit TV shows like Supertrain or soundless videos of women being gunged on Noel’s House Party, I often find adverts for cars.

What is particularly striking is how different the same car can be portrayed in different countries. This might be a regular feature, unless I decide I can’t be bothered or something (HIRST BLOG NUMBER ONE FOR QUALITY*).
